Situation

NewMediaMetrics is a strategic marketing and analytics company devoted to helping marketers increase their marketing and media investment performance. NMM came to TGP with a patented consumer affinity calculation, which was manually calculated using thousands of pages of survey results.

Approach

TGP built a dynamic web-based data system which streamlined operations, while providing additional features and insight to the data. The database tool allowed NMM to:

  • Ingest raw survey results from the survey vendor.
  • Replicate the patented Emotional Attachment (EA) calculation programmatically, completing thousands of permutations of the calculation.
  • Give users instant drilldown views into brand, network, TV shows, and media EA correlations that aren't possible through manual analysis.

Outcome

NMM successfully won major TV networks and national brands as subscribers to their marketing intelligence product.
