Dr. Mark Cotteleer, Senior Consultant | Measurement & Analysis

Dr. Mark Cotteleer is an Assistant Professor at the College of Business Administration at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He teaches and conducts research in the area of process and technology-enabled improvement, and supply chain management. Dr. Cotteleer's specific interests include the impact of technology-enabled process improvement initiatives on operational performance, business intelligence and analytics, the quantification and delivery of value through technology deployment, and the management of supply chain risk.

Dr. Cotteleer has authored papers, articles, book chapters, and business cases on these topics and has presented at numerous industry and academic conferences. His work appears or is profiled in leading academic journals such as Production and Operations Management, MIS Quarterly, Communications of the ACM, International Journal of Operations and Production Management, Harvard Business Review, and the Sloan Management Review. Dr. Cotteleer has also been cited or quoted in leading practitioner journals, including the CIO Magazine, CFO Magazine, InformationWeek, and ComputerWorld.

Dr. Cotteleer has consulted for Ernst & Young, LLP where he led Business Process Reengineering teams in the design and development of technology-enabled business processes. He also consulted for Andersen Consulting (now Accenture), focusing on the design and implementation of order management and production planning information systems. In independent practice, Dr. Cotteleer has worked with numerous clients in healthcare, manufacturing, and service industries.

Dr. Cotteleer earned his Doctorate of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School, specializing in Technology and Operations Management. He also holds a Master of Business Administration, specializing in Operations Management, and a Master of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. Dr. Cotteleer's Bachelor's degree is in Finance from Marquette University.
